About RefWorks
RefWorks is a web-based tool for managing bibliographic information.
It allows you to manage references collected from electronic journals and bibliographic databases, as well as create reference lists necessary for writing reports and papers. If you are using this service for the first time, please read the following information carefully before proceeding.
This service is available, in accordance with the contract, to current students, full-time faculty members, and researchers of International Christian University (ICU) who have an email address ending with XXXXXX@icu.ac.jp.
Notes
Accounts that have not been used in the past year will be deleted.
The service is available only during your enrollment or employment period. User accounts of graduates and former employees will be deleted.
When registering, please use an email address issued by ICU.
Data backups are not guaranteed. We recommend regularly backing up your data yourself.
Reference: Other Reference Management Tools Besides RefWorks
In addition to RefWorks, there are other reference management tools such as ZOTERO, Mendeley, and EndNote. Please note that these tools are not supported by the library, but if you are interested, feel free to research them on your own.
Steps to Create an Account
1. Access the RefWorks login page.
2. Click on 'Create Account.'
*Creating an account is possible both on-campus and off-campus.
3. Enter your ICU email address and click 'Check.'
*Please make sure to use your ICU email address.
4. Enter the password you want to use for your new account and click 'Sign Up.'
5. An email containing a URL to activate your RefWorks account will be sent to the email address you provided. Please check the email and click on the URL included.
6. The setup screen for your new account will appear. Enter your name and select your role.
