Please follow the steps below to retrieve materials:
Click on the title of the material you wish to view to display the details page.
Click the [Click to Retrieve] button in the [ASRS] section.
In the confirmation window, click [Execute] to retrieve the material from the ASRS.
Pick up the material from the red book truck next to the information desk on the basement floor of the Othmer Library.
If you have lost library materials, please contact us immediately.
As a general rule, you will be required to replace the lost item with an identical copy.
If the material is damaged, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Please bring it to the library as is. Depending on the extent of the damage, the library may be able to repair it. We kindly ask you to handle library materials with care.

Doctoral Theses
Theses submitted in June 2013 or later are available through the International Christian University Repository.
Those submitted before that date are stored in the Automated Storage and Retrieval System (ASRS). Please check the holdings in OPAC and notify us in advance via the inquiry form with the following information: your name, the title of the dissertation, and your desired date of visit.
When visiting, please bring a valid photo ID (e.g., driver’s license) for identification.
If you wish to borrow doctoral theses, please register as a Library Friends.
For e-journals, access is limited to the ranges specified in our contracts. Issues outside the dates displayed on the OPAC search results page may not be accessible.
If you encounter an error or suspect a technical issue, please contact us through the Inquiry Form. Please include the following information to facilitate the investigation:
Bibliographic information of the inaccessible material and database name
Network used (e.g., on-campus WiFi, lab wired LAN, home WiFi, etc.)
Access device (PC, tablet, smartphone, etc.)

Due to limited storage space, the library only accepts academic books that are not already in our collection. Before donating, please send the title and author of the book(s) via the Inquiry Form. We will review your offer and respond shortly.
There are two main ways to access subscribed electronic resources:
1. Access via ICU Discovery (integrated search system for library holdings and subscribed databases)
Go to ICU Discovery, click the message in the gray bar at the top (“学外からご利用の場合、コンテンツにアクセス制限が生じます ログインしてください。”), and log in using your ICU NetID and password.
Once logged in, links to subscribed databases will appear in the ICU Discovery search results.
2. Access via MyAthens (E-resource access)
Go to MyAthens (E-resource access) and log in using your ICU NetID and password.
A list of subscribed databases will be displayed. You can either click the initial letter of the database name or enter keywords in the search box to find the database you need.
Group study is possible on the 1st Floor (1F) and Ground Floor (GF) of the Othmer Library. Please refer to this map for details.

Note: Open containers, such as cups or cans, are not allowed in the Main Library or Othmer Library.

When asking questions, providing the following three points in advance will ensure a smoother response:
Materials you found yourself (e.g., book titles or article names)
Tools or databases you used for your search (e.g., OPAC, ICU Discovery)
The deadline by which you need a response
Note: Depending on the content of your question, it may take some time to provide an answer.
If you forget your student ID card, you can log in to MyLibrary using the computer at the entrance counter to verify your identity and enter the library.
However, you cannot borrow books without your student ID card.
The library does not provide money exchange services.
If an item is found in the library, it will be delivered to the Security Group (located on the 1st floor of the Administration Building) in the evening of the same day. Please contact them for inquiries.
